This course helps PreK–12 educators use Canva to create engaging instructional materials, support student collaboration, and enhance visual learning. Participants will explore Canva’s design tools, templates, and classroom applications while developing resources they can use immediately. This is an online course. Upon registration, your course materials will be emailed to you.

Visual communication has become an essential part of today’s classroom, helping educators create engaging lessons and giving students new ways to demonstrate their learning. Canva provides an intuitive platform for designing presentations, classroom resources, infographics, worksheets, videos, and collaborative projects that make learning more interactive and accessible.

In this course, participants will explore Canva’s features through hands-on activities designed specifically for PreK–12 educators. Educators will learn how to create professional-quality instructional materials, utilize templates and design tools, facilitate student collaboration, and incorporate Canva into assessment and classroom projects. By the end of the course, participants will have the skills and confidence to use Canva as a creative tool that enhances teaching, learning, and student engagement.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • understand the Canva interface and functionalities
  • discover creative applications of Canva with templates, elements, and design tools within Canva
  • discover collaboration and assessment applications of Canva
  • develop engaging and interactive learning materials using Canva
