Using Google Docs to Improve Student Writing

The purpose of this course is to show how to use Google Docs and other digital tools/resources to improve student writing. Teachers will learn the variety of features included in Google Docs and other digital tools/resources which support draft writing, peer feedback, teacher feedback, publishing, reflection, support for struggling writers, and an implementation plan for how to make this come together seamlessly.

Learning Objectives:

  • The participant will be able to use a variety of Google Docs and other digital tools/resources features
  • The participant will be able to discover ideas for using Google Docs & other digital tools/resources to improve student writing
  • The participant will discuss ways to improve the student writing experience with the features of Google Docs and other digital tools/resources
  • The participant will create a project plan, including specific tasks, to match the learning target and promote ongoing student achievement in their writing process
