Are you using formative assessment in your classroom? Is it effective? Is it impacting student achievement? Is your feedback timely and descriptive? Do you wish you could find ways to give better & faster feedback? If so, this course is for you! The purpose of this course is to introduce teachers to using technology to conduct formative assessments in the classroom. Teachers will learn about effective formative assessment practices, create their own formative assessments aligned to their content, and finally, create lesson plans that include formative assessments using tech tools. Teachers will gain experience on a variety of technology tools to support the creation of formative assessments, participate in active discussions about the instructional purpose and goals of formative assessment, and learn how to make instructional decisions from the data collected. A variety of formative assessment tools will be demonstrated and discussed with time given for participants to create lesson plans to be used in their classrooms.
