This is Structured Literacy

This course introduces the principles and components of structured literacy, emphasizing foundational knowledge necessary for effective reading and writing instruction. Participants will explore evidence-based strategies for teaching literacy, with a focus on phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the foundational principles of structured literacy.
  • Identify and describe the components of structured literacy.
  • Analyze the importance of structured literacy in educational settings.
  • Evaluate methods for assessing literacy skills.
