Course Description
School schedules influence how effectively schools use some of their most important resources: people, time, and budget. In this course, participants will explore strategic scheduling as a tool for examining how those resources are allocated and how scheduling decisions can support student achievement.
Participants will analyze the current reality of their own classroom, school, or system and consider opportunities for improving existing practices. Using tools and concepts from the required text, along with additional course resources, participants will examine scheduling through a strategic lens and consider how decisions about time, staffing, and financial resources work together.
Throughout the course, participants will apply what they are learning to their own educational setting. Based on their analysis, they will develop an action and/or implementation plan designed to address identified needs and provide a practical path for applying strategic scheduling principles within their classroom, school, or system.
